Aramex – Y U NO
I am an Aramex customer since over 6 years now. I got my forwarding box back in 2006 from AlBustan mall in Salmiya, where they used to have a branch. That was a long time ago, wan’t it? I was a happy customer since then. Never complained about prices even with the multiple increases. Although I would ask for better delivery time in some cases, I never complained.
This is going to be my first BAD experience with Aramex. I know it happened with many customers in Kuwait, but never thought it’s going to happen to me.
Here’s the story:
I ordered 5 items of the same product from amazon.com. Because the seller doesn’t ship to Kuwait, I had to ship it to my favourite courier “Aramex” to forward it to my address in Kuwait. Before placing my order in Amazon, I chose my shipping preference which tells the shipper that I want my 5 items grouped and shipped all at once.
This really ensures that my items get to “Aramex” facilities at once. What happened then is that Aramex sent me two separate shipments. They were shipped on the same plane and arrived in Kuwait on the same day. For some reason (don’t ask me why :)), one shipment got cleared while the other got held in customs!
I mean come on! Ya3ne instead of grouping the two boxes into one shipment and sending it to your loyal customer, you double my charges and delay delivery.
It seems to be time to look for an alternative. I just googled “Aramex Kuwait” and found a lot of complaining customers. With better search on Blogs, I found out about Aramex new competitors in Kuwait, PostaPlus & borderlinx.
